Love Letters Bound in Gold Handcuffs
audio
Lee Miller was a photographer and journalist who is famous for, amongst other things, her coverage of the Second World War.
In this podcast, for the first time ever, the pre-war letters between her and her future husband, the British Surrealist Roland Penrose, are made public.
Lee was living in Egypt at the time, whilst Roland supported Pablo Picasso in his work promoting the plight of Spanish Republicans.
